Kuwait Visa Requirements
This page explains the documents required to apply for a Kuwait eVisa. All applicants must submit a core set of documents. Additional documents may apply depending on your eligibility route or the choices you make while completing the application form.

Overview of Kuwait eVisa Document Requirements
Kuwait follows a structured eVisa process. Document requirements are assessed in layers:
- Core documents apply to all eVisa applicants.
- Route-based documents apply only to applicants eligible under the Tourist eVisa for GCC Residents route.
- Choice-based documents apply only if certain options are selected in the application form.
Core Documents Required for All Kuwait eVisa Applicants
Passport Bio Page Scan
Submit a clear scan of the passport bio page showing:
- Full name
- Photograph
- Passport number
- Date of birth
- Nationality
The Machine-Readable Zone (MRZ) should be clear and visible.
Applicant Photograph
Provide a recent digital photograph that reflects your current appearance. The image must be clear, well-lit, and free from shadows or obstructions.
Passport Observation Page
Upload the page immediately above the passport bio page. This page may contain official remarks or may be blank.
If your passport does not include an observation page, upload the blank page above the bio page as instructed.
Birth Certificate
Submit a copy of your birth certificate issued by the country of your birth.
If the document is not in English or Arabic, an official translation is strongly recommended to avoid processing issues.
Proof of Accommodation (Choose One)
Kuwait requires proof that you have confirmed accommodation during your stay. You must submit any ONE of the following options.
Option A: Hotel Booking
A confirmed hotel or accommodation booking covering your stay in Kuwait.
Option B: Invitation Letter with Host ID
A signed invitation letter from your host in Kuwait, mentioning the host’s Kuwaiti identification or residency details, contact information, and address.
Only one accommodation option is required. Submitting both is not necessary.
Additional Requirement for Tourist eVisa for GCC Residents
This applies only if your nationality falls under the Tourist eVisa for GCC Residents route.
Applicants under this route must submit:
GCC Residence Permit
A clear copy of the front and back of a valid residence permit issued by a member state of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The residence permit must have at least 90 days of validity remaining at the time of application.
Additional Requirement Based on Application Form Selection
During the application process, you will be asked to declare your marital status.
- Selecting Single does not trigger any additional document.
- Selecting Married will prompt a follow-up question regarding whether your spouse will travel with you.
If you select Yes, you must submit:
Marriage CertificateA scanned copy of your official marriage certificate. |
If your spouse is not travelling with you, this document is not required.
Document Format and Submission Guidelines
- All documents must be clear, complete, and readable.
- Scans or photographs should not be blurred, cropped, or obscured.
- Documents are submitted digitally as part of the online application.
- Translations are recommended where documents are not issued in English or Arabic.
Submitting accurate documents reduces the likelihood of delays or additional verification requests.
Important Note on Passport Validity:Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application. Passports with insufficient validity are not accepted. |
