Kuwait eVisa Requirements

This page provides an overview of the documents required to apply for a Kuwait Tourist eVisa. All applicants must submit a standard set of documents, while additional supporting documents may be required depending on their nationality.

Core list of document requirements for the Kuwait eVisa:

Core Documents Required for All Kuwait eVisa Applicants

1. Passport Bio Page Scan

Submit a clear scan of the passport bio page showing:

  • Full name
  • Photograph
  • Passport number
  • Date of birth
  • Nationality

The Machine-Readable Zone (MRZ) should be clear and visible.

A traveller's passport must remain valid for 6 months from the date of travel.

2. Passport Observation Page

Provide a scan of the page immediately above the passport bio page. This page may contain official remarks or may be blank. 

If your passport does not include an observation page, upload the blank page above the bio page as instructed.

3. Applicant Photograph

One Correct And Two Incorrect Passport Photos

Upload a recent digital photo that shows your current appearance. The photo should be clear, evenly lit, and taken without shadows, filters, or anything covering your face.

4. Birth Certificate

Upload a copy of your birth certificate issued by the relevant authority in your country of birth.

5. Proof of Accommodation (Choose One)

Confirmed proof of accommodation for the duration of the stay in Kuwait is required. Travellers must upload any one of the following documents: 

Option A: Hotel Booking

Hotel Booking Confirmation

A confirmed hotel or accommodation booking covering your stay in Kuwait.

Option B: Invitation Letter with Host ID Details

A signed invitation letter from your host in Kuwait, mentioning the host’s Kuwaiti identification or residency details, contact information, and address.

Additional Supporting Requirements for Kuwait eVisa

Some applicants, based on nationality, must upload one of the following supporting documents: 

GCC Residence Permit

Front Side Of Gcc Residence Permit Back Side Of Gcc Residence Permit

A clear copy of the front and back of a valid residence permit issued by a member state of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

The residence permit must have at least 6 months of validity remaining on the date of application.

UK, US or a valid Schengen residence permit

Usa Resident Permit

Your permit must have at least 6 months of validity remaining when you submit your Kuwait eVisa application.

UK, US or Schengen valid tourist Visa

Usa Tourist Visa

Applicants using a UK, US, or Schengen tourist visa must ensure it has a minimum validity of 6 months from the application date.

Additional Requirement Based on Application Form Selection

During the application process, applicants will be asked to declare their marital status.

  • Selecting single does not require any additional documents.
  • If the applicant selects Married, they will be asked whether their spouse is travelling with them.

When the applicant’s spouse is travelling with them, a scanned copy of the official marriage certificate must be uploaded.

Note: This document is not needed when the spouse is not travelling with the applicant.

Document Format and Submission Guidelines

  • All documents must be clear, complete, and readable.
  • Scans or photographs should not be blurred, cropped, or obscured.
  • Applicants must upload their documents digitally during the online application.
  • Translations are recommended where documents are not issued in English.
