Available Kuwait eVisa Type
One visa type is available through the eVisa portal: the Kuwait Tourist Visa. It is an online visa for travel to Kuwait for tourism and leisure purposes.
Who Can Apply?
Eligibility for the Kuwait Tourist eVisa is based on nationality. Applicants fall into one of two groups:
Standard Eligibility:
Travellers from these nationalities apply with the standard required documents only.

Extended Eligibility (with Supporting Documents):
Travellers from these nationalities qualify if they hold one of the following, alongside the standard documents:
- A valid residence permit from the US, UK, or a Schengen country
- A valid tourist visa for the US, UK, or Schengen countries
- A valid residence permit from any GCC country
Kuwait Tourist eVisa Specifications
The specifications below apply to all eligible applicants, regardless of nationality.
- Purpose: Tourism
- Entry type: Single entry
- Validity: 30 days from approval date
- Maximum stay: 30 days from arrival in Kuwait
How to Apply
The application is completed online in four steps:
- Fill in your nationality, passport details, and travel information in the application form.
- Select your processing option and upload the documents required for your nationality.
- Pay the eVisa fee to submit your application.
- Receive your approved Kuwait Tourist eVisa, print a copy, and carry it when travelling to Kuwait.
Visa Types Not Available Through This Portal
Kuwait issues several other visa categories. These are not available online through this portal. They include visas for:
- Employment
- Residence
- Study
- Transit
- Long-term stays
These are processed through Kuwaiti embassies, local sponsors, or the relevant authorities in Kuwait.
Can the Kuwait eVisa Be Extended?
Extensions for the Kuwait Tourist eVisa are not available through this portal. Before your eVisa expires, contact the General Department of Residency Affairs in Kuwait to enquire about extension options.
